MCF Crew Hits the Field: Making a Historic Run with Local 1247

The crew looked 🔥 thanks to District Council jerseys and LMCC’s SoCal Floor Layers logo hats that completed the fit. Between the fresh gear and the big plays, our squad was one of the sharpest — and toughest — on the field.

A Tournament to Remember

The games were held at Big League Dreams in Chino Hills, and the energy was electric. Families came out to cheer, kids hit the playgrounds, and the whole day turned into a mix of competition, laughs, and lasting memories.

To top it off, the team made history by reaching the Championship Round — the farthest Local 1247 has ever gone in the tournament!

💥 A Wild Run to the Championship

The path to the championship wasn’t easy. One of the most thrilling moments came in the second round of the playoffs, when the team trailed by five runs going into the final inning. With grit and determination, Local 1247 stormed back to pull off a comeback victory that kept their championship hopes alive.

Standout plays made the difference, including Iseiah Barbosa’s clutch home run ⚾🔥 — a spark that fired the whole team up at the plate. Facing off against other trades from across LA and Orange County only added to the excitement. As one player said with a grin:

“It felt good to compete against them — and even better to win.”

🤝 Brotherhood on the Field

For our guys, it wasn’t just about softball. It was about representing Local 1247 AND MCF with pride. One teammate put it best:

“It felt good to not just represent Local 1247, but also to represent MCF during the tournament. That brotherhood we rely on at work showed up on the ballfield too — everyone had each other’s back and stepped up when it mattered most.”

When asked what they enjoyed most, the guys kept it simple:

“Playing softball, hanging out, and having fun.”

But make no mistake — they’re already setting goals for next year:
❌ Fewer mistakes. ✔️ More wins. 🏆 WIN IT ALL!
